Patricia Smith
Patricia Lee Smith - American singer and poet. Patti Smith is often called «cross mom punk-rock», partly because of her debut album «Horses», which has played a significant role in the formation of the genre. The first steps in music, Smith has done in 70 years at the New York club CBGB, along with other musicians, new wave. The most famous song Patti Smith, «Because the Night», was written in collaboration with Bruce Springstinom, and climbed the twenty Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2005, Smith was awarded the French Order of Arts and Literature, and in 2007 her name was included in the Hall of Fame rock n 'roll.
Patricia Lee Smith was born in Chicago on Dec. 30, 1946. In 1949 the parents moved to Philadelphia and then in a small town Vudberi, southern New Jersey in 1957. His mother, Beverly, was a jazz singer and a waitress and his father, Grant, worked at the plant. The family grew even three children - Linda, Todd and Kimberly; Patty was a senior child. Being understood is not at school, she finds salvation in the poetry of Rimbaud Artyura, books beat generation writers and music artists such as Jim Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, and especially Bob Dylan. She was admitted to the Glassboro State College, but dropped it due to unplanned pregnancies. After she gave the child up for adoption and found work at the assembly line at the plant, thus earning enough money to move to New York.
